History

The owner of Gold Star Awards and Engraving first entered

the business in 1979 when he purchased some engraving

equipment from a friend that had tired of the business.

From a humble start doing engraving in his garage, he

soon was able to get a second engraver and a year later

rented a retail space in Layton, Utah. At this point he also

entered into the awards business. The business grew

and prospered, and in 1992 he bought a small piece of

property and built his own building to house the

business. Late in 1999 he sold the business and tried

other things. None of the other things he tried fulfilled

him the way the awards business had. Late in 2004

he started putting together another business and so

was born Gold Star Awards and Engraving.
